Mark Williams, CPA

Mark has been practicing public accounting since 1982, specializing in tax planning and compliance for small businesses and high net worth individuals. Mark graduated from San Jose State University. He has extensive experience with closely held businesses including partnerships, LLCs, S corporations, and corporations.  Mark works closely with executives, employees, and high net worth individuals with respect to income tax and financial planning, including assessing the impact of founders’ stock, stock options, alternative minimum tax to minimize the tax burden on business and personal income tax returns.

William Matusich, CPA

Partner.

Bill has been with Ruzzo, Scholl, & Murphy since 1977. After graduating from San Jose State University in 1973 he began his career with the State Board of Equalization before making the move to Ruzzo, Scholl, & Murphy. Bill's clients rely on his business savvy for guidance beyond general accounting practices. Bill guided the firm for many years after Ray Scholl's passing in 1989.  Bill began his retirement transition in 2015, however, he continues to work with clients and our staff providing invaluable experience and knowledge.

Steve Thielmann, CPA

Partner.

Steve has been with Ruzzo, Scholl, & Murphy for 30 years since graduating from San Jose State University. He specializes in tax preparation and financial reporting for closely held businesses and their owners. He has extensive experience in the real estate, venture capital, and construction industries. In 2016, Steve began his retirement transition, and recently purchased a home in Gig Harbor, Washington. Steve has committed to be available to assist when needed. Steve is an avid Bay Area sports fan and loves deep sea fishing.
